Fraud-linked Captain Eric Agolla Lugalia has raised eyebrows after he launched a spirited campaign to defraud a city bank Sh722M.

This is after he attempted to use a press conference to influence the court to dismiss a plea by Stanbic Bank bank bosses to stop police investigations.

Preliminary investigations show that Captain Eric Lugalia of Air Afrik Aviation Ltd alledgly attempted to defraud the bank of Sh 722M and when the DCI began investigating him he rushed and made a counter-offensive complaint to the DCI claiming bank the bank owed him Sh722M.

To make it look like the bank owes him millions, the fraud mastermind pilot Eric quoted the constitution to confirm that he had been wronged and defrauded by the bank which was totally his fault.
The pilot has so far rushed to court and has already filed an application trying to have the bank bosses investigated for him to evade justice. This was after the bank applied to stop the DCI from probing its bosses for it to shade off more lights.

The problem with Eric Lugalia Agolla started after the bank and its Chief Executive Officer Joshua Oigara challenged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) summons in the Sh722 million row with the pilot aviation company.

In the case filed before High Court judge Chacha Mwita, the bank says the Banking Investigative Fraud Unit (BFIU) summoned the chief executive on a day he was with President William Ruto at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre for Inua Biashara MSME Exhibition.

The investigators are also said to have sent Oigara fresh summons requiring him to go to the Kiambu Road headquarters to write a statement regarding an eight-year dispute between the lender and Air Afrik Aviation Ltd.

They say the DCI informed them it was investigating an offense of fraudulent false accounting.
The bank now claims the investigative body is probing a complaint that had already been previously investigated and the bank cleared and is only seeking to interfere with another ongoing case. The civil case involves Eric Agolla Lugalia linked airline that is accused of fraud.

The complaint was raised by Eric Agolla Lugalia who is linked to multiple fraud cases.

The bank’s lawyer Kamau Karori said Air Afrik had filed a complaint with the Central Bank of Kenya over the same issue but the regulator threw it out after finding that the bank had done nothing wrong by debiting amounts it had erroneously wired to the firm.
Karori argued that Air Afrik filed a separate case before commercial court judge Nixon Sifuna which was heard this week.

Our investigations show that Air Afrik is trying to use the court to defraud both the CBK and ABSA bank.
